WITH WHICH NEW YEAR DO YOU IDENTIFY?

I wonder which New Year you would identify with?
More to the point – would you say New Year’s day begins on 1 January of each year? If so, many religions and countries would disagree. To learn more about various New Year dates, click here.

I was particularly surprised to read chapter five of Ernest L. Martin’s book, “The Star that Astonished the World.”

It describes, according to Martin, the exact day on which Yeshua Messiah was born. Even to the hour. From the author’s research it appears we are living in year 2016, and not 2013 years after he was born. (There are those who refute his claims).

But what of the Jewish calendar?
When do they celebrate New Year’s day – and why?
According to their genealogical records Adam was created 5773 years ago and their New Year is celebrated in September each year.

Whichever New Year’s day we celebrate, most importantly it is an opportunity to take time to reflect.
And so I leave with you a link to David Wilkerson’s talk on Crisis Prayer. He speaks about understanding the times in which we live, and asks us, “Are You Ready?”

“Ready for what?” you may ask.

He also organized and spoke at pastors gatherings in many countries where he gave prophetic strong messages to encourage pastors and leaders.
